These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", or "User") and csVaulted (the "Service", "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the csVaulted website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the Service
csVaulted is a fan-made simulation inspired by the Counter-Strike franchise. The Platform allows users to open virtual cases and capsules, collect virtual items, list and buy items on an in-platform market, trade with other users, complete quests and achievements, earn levels and referral rewards, and customise their profile.
The core experience is free to play. Optional paid offerings are available — including site balance top-ups, the Supporter subscription, item shop and cosmetic packs — and are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). These purchases are entirely optional and are not required to use the Platform.
Site balance, virtual items, subscriptions, and any other in-platform asset (collectively, "Virtual Goods") have no monetary or real-world value. Virtual Goods may not be sold, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged for money, goods, services, or currency outside the Platform. Real money flows in one direction only — into the Platform — and never back out.
csVaulted is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike, CS:GO, CS2, and all associated names, logos, item designs, and trademarks are the property of Valve Corporation and are used solely for illustrative, descriptive, and non-commercial purposes within a fan project.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction for digital services, whichever is greater) to create an account. Users between 13 and the age of majority in their jurisdiction must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date. You may not create more than one account, sell, transfer, or share your account, or use another user's account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Virtual Items, Currency, Purchases and Subscriptions
All virtual items, balances, cases, capsules, stickers, collectibles, cosmetics, and currency on the Platform (collectively, "Virtual Goods") are provided to you on a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license, solely for personal, non-commercial use within the Platform. Virtual Goods are not your property, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for money or anything of monetary value. We may, at our sole discretion, modify, regulate, suspend, balance, or eliminate any Virtual Goods at any time without notice or liability to you.
Paid offerings. You may optionally purchase site balance, subscribe to the Supporter plan, or buy items from the in-platform shop. All prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins. Refund and cancellation terms are described in our Refund Policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Store; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep Supporter benefits until the end of the current period.
Economic resets. We periodically reset balances, inventories, market listings, trades, chats, friends, and notifications to keep the simulated economy healthy. Account, news, and purchase history are preserved. Resets do not entitle you to a refund of past purchases.
The trading and market features are between users and use only Virtual Goods. csVaulted is not a broker or financial service and Virtual Goods are not securities, commodities, or any other regulated financial instrument.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Use bots, scrapers, automation, scripts, or any other means to interact with the Platform other than the official user interface;
- Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or unintended behavior to gain Virtual Goods or any advantage;
- Attempt to sell, trade, or transfer Virtual Goods or accounts for real money or anything of value outside the Platform;
- Engage in harassment, hate speech, threats, doxing, or sexually explicit content directed at other users;
- Impersonate another person, entity, or csVaulted staff;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Platform's infrastructure, including denial-of-service attempts;
- Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material.
6. User-Generated Content
You are solely responsible for any content you post, including chat messages, profile information, and trade messages ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, code, branding, original artwork, and compilation of content, is owned by csVaulted and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license to use the Platform granted to you under these Terms, no rights are granted. Third-party trademarks, including Valve's, remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform you consent to such processing. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform or any Virtual Goods.
10. Termination and Account Deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Deletion requires explicit, multi-step confirmation (acknowledging the consequences, typing your username, and typing a confirmation phrase) and, once executed, is immediate, permanent, and irreversible. We cannot restore deleted accounts, balances, inventory, trade history, messages, or any other data, even by request. Upon termination or deletion, all Virtual Goods associated with your account are forfeited. Limited records may be retained where required by law, to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall csVaulted, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed one hundred euros (€100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is lower. Because the Platform is free of charge, this amount will, in the vast majority of cases, be zero.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless csVaulted and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) any User Content you submit.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the country in which csVaulted is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that country, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
15. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. If a provision is found unenforceable in your jurisdiction, that provision will be interpreted in the manner closest to its original meaning while remaining enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
17. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and csVaulted regarding the Platform. Our failure to enforce any provision shall not be deemed a waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them without restriction. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms.
